Hello Families of our Higley Marching Knights!
One football game down, nine more to go! While it wasn't the turnout the football team was looking for, it was a great game with a close score and tons of energy from the stands.
This week will be our last "lighter" week until Fall Break. With all the events going on please make sure to keep an eye on BH and take lots of photos to upload to our photo drive below.
Important Announcements:
- WATER BOTTLE DROP OFF: To help us stock bottled water at each band event we rely on each student to bring in one case of waters per season. The first group to bring in a case of water is woodwind players (piccolo, clarinet, saxophones). The waters should have at least 24 bottles in the case, and be the 16.9 ounce bottles. Coincidently those are on sale at Fry’s right now for $2.99 each with your reward card. You can also link your Fry’s reward card to support HIA.
- CA TRIP INFORMATION: Reminder that CA Payments must be made in full by Fri, Sept. 11th. Make sure to setup your BoosterBucks fundraiser page to help reduce the cost of your final payment. Create your specific student page to share to friends, family, and on social media or feel free to send this link around! https://app.boosterhub.com/fundraising/518/main
- STUDENT PICKUP & PARKING: Continue to help us ensure the safety of all students by parking in a parking space for pickup!
- SECTIONALS: Dates are currently in the calendar and all information about sectionals can be viewed here.
- VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Thanks to all Knight Crew and Concession parents that have been volunteering with the HIA. We still have some openings for Concession Volunteers at Varsity games; if you are able to help please click the "Volunteer" button on BH!

Upcoming Marching Band Dates (details will be posted 1-2 weeks before each event):
- *NEW CALENDAR ADDITION* Friday (9/11): Televised Pep Rally (through Arizona's Family Channel 3 & 5) Students will be excused for the entirety of 1st Hour to support the football team and cheer squad. *per admin Watch the LIVE STREAM HERE at 7:45am for a preview & 8:15am for the segment!
- Friday (9/11): First Home Game vs. Casteel HS 5:15pm-10:00pm- Knight Crew Volunteers get in free with the Band; Parent Spectators Purchase Tickets HERE
- Friday (9/18): Away Game @ Highland HS 5:30pm-10:00pm- Parent Spectators Purchase Tickets HERE
- Saturday (9/19): First Competition- Evaluation Show @ Casa Grande UHS (Schedule should be released by 9/6!)
