Hello Families of our Higley Marching Knights!

Thank you for bringing the energy to a great Homecoming game on Friday! Students are really picking up momentum with their show, Knight Crew & Parent Volunteers have been so accommodating in helping our timelines run seamlessly, and parents and family members are constantly on top of call times, pickup times, uniform details, feeding schedules, homework schedules, and so many countless other details as this season picks up steam. Our Fall Break is quickly approaching, so please ensure that you read all of the details below so that we pick up right where we leave off.

Important Announcements:

• UNIFORM CARE & MAINTENANCE: Winds, Percussion, & Drum Major “Performance Tops” and Colorguard "Costumes" need extra care when washing/cleaning. Please adhere to these instructions for how to take care of these uniform parts after each weekend of wear. Uniforms must be cleaned before Thursday's Home Game.
• SECTIONALS: First Quarter sectionals will be officially wrapped up with colorguard's Wednesday sectional If you'd like to get ahead with Quarter 2 sectional dates you can access that information HERE.

Important Events this Week:

• Monday (9/28): NO MARCHING BAND EVENTS
• Tuesday (9/29): Band & Percussion Concert at 7pm in the HCPA (All are required to attend if not performing)
• Wednesday (9/30): Guard Sectionals 2:30pm-4pm
• Thursday (10/1): Varsity Football Game vs. Perry HS Parent Spectators Purchase Tickets HERE- 5:15pm-9:35pm
• 5:15 PM – Inspection in the Band Room
• Wear your SOUND MATTERS shirt, shorts, black socks, & marching shoes.
• We will be wearing full uniform: You need your washed PERFORMANCE TOP and PERFORMANCE HAIR (Ballet Bun)
• Have your pep tunes music!!!
• 5:20 PM – Warm up, tune, & review pep tunes
• 6:20 PM – Check tuning
• 6:35 PM – Form up and march out. 
• We need to be there to form the tunnel to bring the team onto the field.
• 7:00 PM – Game starts
• We will perform our show on the field at half time.
• 9:35 PM – Game ends
• March back to the band room and load or put away all the equipment
• Go home
• PLEASE NOTE The timing of this will depend on when the game finishes, but this is around when games are typically finished.
• REMEMBER THAT YOU REPRESENT HIGLEY HIGH AND OUR BAND PROGRAM, SO ACT ACCORDINGLY.
• Changes will be made to the schedule as necessary.

• Home Football Game vs. Shadow Ridge HS: Thurs. 10/15 5:15pm-9:35pm
• Fall Band Camp: Fri. 10/16 7:00am-12:00pm
• CA Trip: Sat. 10/17 & Sun. 10/18 (tentative 7am call time on Saturday morning and tentative 12:30am pickup on Monday 10/19 [no school])
• First Day of School for Quarter 2: Tues. 10/20
